How has Quicken Changed Your Life Contest

How To Submit:
  1. Register for an account on QuickenCommunity.com (good news--if you are already registered you can skip this step!)
  2. Read the contest rules and produce your “How Quicken changed your life” entry.
  3. Upload or post your video, written story or audio file on the Quicken Community in this thread.
  4. Tell all your friends to view your entry and/or submit their own entry!

Tips to Win:
  1. Sincerity is recommended. The best stories ring true.
  2. Winning entries will articulate and demonstrate how Quicken has helped, so be creative and clear.
  3. Screenshots are helpful. Tip: use “snagit” software or hit “alt & print screen” buttons on your keyboard simultaneously to copy, then paste into submission area.
  4. Sense of humor is good, but don’t go too far (no personal insults or things you wouldn’t want kids to see!).
  5. Names of your family in written entries may be bad; check with family members first.
  6. Make sure you are 18 or over at the time of entry. Extra tip: check your driver’s license or ask your parents

Official Contest Rules

Promotion begins at 12:01 am PT on April 9, 2007 and ends 11:59:59 pm PT on April 20, 2007 (Promotion period).
  1. Eligibility: Contest is open only to legal residents of the 50 Unites States and District of Columbia who are 18 years or older at the time of registration. Void where prohibited by law. Employees, directors, officers and agents of Intuit Inc., its subsidiary companies, sales representatives, advertising and promotion agencies, involved in this Contest; and members of the immediate families (parent, child, sibling and spouse of each) or households of any of the above are prohibited from entering this contest.
  2. How To Enter: Create a video, write a story and/or submit an audio file in which you describe how Quicken changed your life. Go to www.quickencommunity.com and follow the online registration process. Registration must be completed before the video, story or audio file can be submitted. Videos submitted online must be in avi, mov or mpeg format and cannot exceed 2 minutes in length. There are no restrictions on the size of text or audio. Entries must be received by April 20, 2007 at 11:59:59 PST. At the time of registration, you will agree that you have read and agree to these Official Rules and the policies, terms and conditions of the Quicken Personal Finance Forum. Intuit (contest sponsor) and/or its agents are not responsible for any lost, late, incomplete or misdirected entries. All entries become the exclusive property of the sponsor. Pending sponsor’s approval, your submission will be posted for viewing at www.quickencommunity.com. You may submit as many entries as you like provided each entry is entirely original. Once an entry is submitted, you may not edit or change that entry.
  3. The 5 winners will be awarded solely by the sponsor based on the following equally weighted criteria: 1) Relevance to the “how Quicken changed My Life” theme 2) Creativity 3) Entertainment value including, but not solely based on, comments by other community members to the positing Prior to awarding winners, the sponsor may require that the story be substantiated as legally true and reserves the right to request substantiation deemed necessary to validate the story. The sponsor may also request legal permission and a written release to use the story in its marketing and communications activities.
  4. Drawing and Prizes. On or around April 25, 2007 five (5) names will be selected at random from all eligible entries. Each winner will receive a $200 Amazon gift certificate. Entrants selected must comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rule, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. Winners need not be present to win. Winners will be notified by mail, phone or email within seven (7) days following the drawing. Odds of winning depend upon number of eligible entries received. No prize or cash substitutes allowed. Winners may not transfer a prize. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize for one of equal or greater value should an event occur that renders a prize unavailable. Taxes on the prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
  5. Delivery of prizes. The winner will be contacted by phone or email and asked to verify their mailing address. The winner will then have one (1) week to respond to the phone call with the appropriate information. If the selected winner fails to reply with sufficient mailing information within the allotted one (1) week, it will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected. This process shall continue until either all prizes are awarded or no valid entries remain.
  6. Release. By receipt of any Sweepstakes prize, winner agrees to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Promoters, their respective related companies, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of any prize. Each winner agrees, as a precondition for the receipt of any prize, to execute all releases and other documentation reasonably requested by Sponsor.
  7. Disputes. Entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prizes awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
  8. Verification. A list of winners may be obtained after April 22, 2007, by sending an e-mail referencing project # int07015 to: mibeka@decipherinc.com or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope postmarked by April 22, 2007, to Decipher, Inc., Attn: int07015 Quicken Community Incentive, 5250 N.
