I'm trying to breathe here...after days of trying to get MEM to open on my new computer running Vista, I found this forum and was able to get QMEM to open again (thanks, QuickenKathryn). But when I went to restore my vigilantly backed up file from my thumb drive, I was shocked to get a message that this could not be done as I had version 2.1.2 and my back up was version 2.1.0--SO, I closed the program and headed back here. I wanted to make sure I had my question clear, but THIS time, my back up file was OVERWRITTEN--IT HAD TODAY'S DATE!!! And sure enough, when I opened QMEM this time, then opened the file on my thumb drive, hoping to get the same error to tell you all about, there was no error!!!! Just a blinking, empty, cruel, blank QMEM screen...
