I've also used Q for many years, and while I find the number of bugs is approximately the same as in the past (because most are so far down the priority list they have accumulated over many versions and never get fixed), the severity of bugs in Q2007P is worse. This is the first version in memory which crashes on me regularly.
Contest anyone? I bet I have more Quicken data backups than you!
My desk-top pc bit the dust (3 blown capacitors). As a result, I've had to boot with a default profile. I cannot get to my version of Quicken, since I cannot find the password to get to my Qdata file. I purchased a new Gateway notebook with Vista and cannot find the CD for 2007. Is there any way I can get the 2008 upgrade without having to pay the price as a brasnd new user?
When one looks at the CNET review, Quicken 2007 is rated pretty high by the CNET reviewer. However, when one looks closely at the users review; Quicken 2007 scores only 2.6 out of 10. Money 2007 rates much higher at 4.1 even though the CNET reviewer rated it lower than Quicken. This indicates to me that long term usage is showing up more problems and user dissatisfaction than a cursory review could uncover. Having used Quicken since 1991, I am also disappointed in the quality and dependability of the latest version. I am hoping that their quality issues get fixed in the current version - I am no longer upgrading to new versions until Quicken's track record improves
