How Do I Enter Prescription Data Apr 16, 2007 01:11 pm

Maybe. Maybe not. First, make sure you are in the Expense Detail screen.
I want to enter the medication data - med,
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "med". If you mean the name of the medication, then the name of the service would be the name of the drug. Create a new Drug entry and mark it as Prescription [unless, of course, you are getting it OTC; and I do have a number of drugs listed twice, once as Rx and once as OTC when we've used it under both conditions].
I can't give more detail now as I don't have QMEM handy. If you need more details, post back and I'll respond when I have a chance to look it up. It's been so long since I've had to add a drug, I don't remember the exact steps I take to do so.

These fields, and the others you are probably looking to enter, are not available. I keep all of this detail in the Medical Notes field. When the Rx was a result of some other event [e.g. an office visit], I usually add sufficient details in the Medical Notes of the Rx fulfillment to reference the causing Expense. I'll usually be good enough to enter a reference from causing Expense to the first Rx fulfillment, but I rarely fill references to the refills. If the Expense Log scrolled more smoothly, I might behave differently.
Maybe one of the Quicken folks can chime in. I understand the concept of using medical notes for the various Rx data - but I am interested in the Prescription REPORT and I don't see how it can be much of a report without the various RX fields.
