A glitch. I see that if you track mileage to providers but have categorized as FSA paid, then you cannot see those miles totaled anywhere. Only when the heading of 'tax deductible' is used can you track those total miles in a report. Even if you use your FSA account to pay the medical bill, you cannot use that account to 'pay your self' for mileage to a doctor. So for me, I had to go back for a year's worth of expenses and recategoriz as 'tax deductible' even though some were paid with FSA.

Can this be fixed?

Here's a suggestion... certainly not a fix.

Leaving everything noted as FSA (I don't want to lose that side of my history), create a report of all the FSA paid claims, make note of the miles for each provider, count number of trips to each provider and then do the multiplication to get total miles.

Yes, I know this is all manual, but since the program doesn't provide the answer, some kind of manual figuring is necessary...

I'm open to any other more elegant/simple solutions, too.

P.S. I don't remember how I did this last year and I'm not at home to be able to "look back" to figure it out right now!

Thanks for your comments . Yes I can do it manually but one of the reasons I use QEM is to keep track of mileage - so really do not want to do this.

Seems this could be a minor fix - I do not think the software writers wanted this glitch
