Quicken Medical Expense Manager V2 2010
I'm a former Quicken personal finance user who, after years of using the product (through many versions) finally had to leave, disgusted with software bloat and the way Intuit seemed to ignore customer needs and provide very limited support.
HOWEVER - as I've just inherited the responsibility of handling my elderly mother's finances - INCLUDING HER HEALTHCARE COSTS - I'm very interested in learning the pros/cons of Medical Expense Manager.
I would love to hear honest feedback from "heavy users" of the software -- preferably people managing Medicare and multiple supplemental medicare insurances. Tell me what you love and/or hate about the software.
All comments will be appreciated - thank you so much!

I used to do all my family's (3) medical information in Excel. It worked but it was a pain in the butt. This program is much better. But there are some things I would like to see added.
A few years ago my husband had a bad leg break that required 8 separate surgeries & 6 hospital stays. We also have medical supplies delivered and nurses stop at the house. This was a nightmare to keep track of. I was able to catch a few billing and insurance errors. For me personally it has been worth it. I just wish Intuit would continue to support this product. It has the potential of being a great program.
Thanks, Kristine. Sounds a lot like how they "handle" Quicken - sell the product, but then don't support it. Is MEM still "officially" supported, do you know, or do they plan to do away with it?
I have been a Quicken financial user for years and still love the finance software, could not do without it!
I just started delving into the medical expense side and the last notable version of MEM was 2007, I think? I had a simple question about adding a patient and I could not get a response. There are Quicken personnel in this forum so maybe one will see this post and know if they plan on updating MEM which needs an overhaul. They update Quicken finance software nicely every year, they need to overhaul MEM.
