I had originally purchased QMEM v1 by download, then later got the free upgrade to V2 in the initial period. It worked fine for some time - recently, I went to start it up and it would not start - gave me an error "memstart.exe generated an error and has been closed by windows".
I can't reinstall the upgrade since I was never able to download the installer, due to the necessity to update via the help menu. If I uninstall and then reinstall version 1.0, which I do have saved on a CD, I assume it won't let me upgrade without purchasing since it's now past the March deadline.
Please advise. I submitted feedback via the website, but have not received an answer from customer support.

Hi Michael!
I am sorry that you are having trouble using Quicken Medical Expense Manager (MEM). I haven't received any contacts from a Michael Jasper since August 2005 regarding MEM. So I am not sure what happened to your feedback. If you will submit your question at the following link I can help you resolve your issue:
This error is indicating that your Microsoft .NET Framework has broken and needs to be repaired in order for MEM to work. If for any reason, you are not able to submit a question and get a response from me (I usually respond in less than 24 hrs.--more like 2 or 3 at most), please include your email address in a post here and I will contact you via my email outside of the support console. Rest assured I believe that I can help you.

Folks,
.NET, a framework that underlies QMEM and many other programs, has some issues, including some structural considerations due to Windows XP that will be addressed in Windows Vista, as I understand.
Evidently, people who download and install a lot of programs and/or who don't defragment their hard drive regularly are most susceptible to a weakened registry and other .NET issues.
(I'm being careful here, for lots of reasons.)
If you're encountering error messages in QMEM, you may want to click on Help & Support and then Find an Answer, and search on ".net".
