I recently closed a credit card. When I open Quicken Online, I get an error message that that account can't be updated. (I know that). The only solution I could find was to delete that account (credit Card), I do not want to delete it, and lose the information. I simply want to mark the account inactive or otherwise stop it from trying to update. Is there a way of doing that? If so, how?

No. Quicken Online says no. I have the same problem with a checking account. You cannot mark as closed nor zero out the balance on the account if it was closed with any money in there.

FEATURE REQUEST - Please allow us to close accounts and retain our history. Deleting the account IS NOT AN OPTION.

I have the same problem. I closed a credit card, it has a zero balance and it is still showing up on my profile. Quicken online give me an error that the account won't update. Of course it won't update because it is no longer there.

Guess I have to just keep it on there, right?

Wow, I am really floored that there is no way to mark an account as closed. This is definitely a requirement, as like the other people in this forum, deleting the account is not an option.
