Predicted Balance/Overdraft

How is this amount calculated? It does not appear to include *only* Upcoming Transactions, but seems to include other information. I would assume because it is labeled "Predicted," that this includes some kind of average of past activity in the same timeframe. This is great, except for one thing. I have setup some budget goals that cut my average in half, so this "savings" should be able to be included in my Predicted Balance/Overdraft rather than my historical data that does not include this planned saving. In short, it seems that any increase/decrease in planned expenditures using the budgeting goals tools should be reflected in this prediction, otherwise I can't get an accurate snapshot of how my budget changes will affect my upcoming balance, which is the whole point of cash flow prediction.

Current Balance - Transactions Not Yet Cleared - Upcoming bills all before your next paycheck is what constitutes the what's left over number.

It doesn't include average categorized spending.

    Does Predicted Overdraft take into account scheduled deposits, or JUST the paycheck? If it doesn't take into consideration other scheduled deposits, Quicken OL really needs to take into account the other scheduled deposits.

    I don't have a specific paycheck input at the moment, but I have deposits that cover the predicted transactions with a low account value of about 1,000 and it still shows a predicted overdraft.

    At the moment the calculation appears to be AFTER your next paycheck, possibly resulting in overdraft. My What's Left currently shows a favorable positive balance, while my Checking Account's Upcoming Transactions clearly show a period of overdraft.

    My predicted balance is all messed up because for some unknown reason Quicken Online schedules my paychecks after a number of large bills paid on the same exact day. Every time I try and reorder the transactions so that my paychecks occur first, QO reorders them automatically back to where many of my bills are tallied before the paychecks. Then, it calculates my worst-case-scenario based on my balance BEFORE my paycheck ON THE SAME DAY, so it shows a huge overdraft without *realizing* that I also have huge paycheck deposits on the same day. In short, because banks typically reconcile a day's transactions at the end of the day, QO should do the same. I.e., the predicted balance should be based on the sum of all transactions in a given day, not in the random order that QO puts them.
