It seems quicken adjusts the budget based on the month 1-31st. But my personal budget runs the 15th to the 15th. How can I change the dates of the goals budget to reflect this?

Has any progress been made on adjusting goals based on paycheck to paycheck dates?

I also would like the dates to be able to change on the budget for when checks were written and not cleared.
I see checks clear in the next month when they were written in the previous month so it throws my budget off.

i.e My food budget is $300 from the 1-30 but a check cleared on the 2nd of he new month for $25. Now my budget says I am over. what other ways can I work around that as I want an accurate reading at the end of the month.

Well, my experience is that checks have a variable process time, sometimes they clear fast, sometimes it takes longer.

If you want to know the real balance of your checking account, I suggest that you add one-time 'upcoming transactions' with the correct date. The balance column in the 'Upcoming Transactions' show you the remaining balance.

If you want to be sure that you don't spend more than your budget on food, then it's probably safest to take out cash and not rely on checks. You may do that for the last week of the month.
