I'm going to answer my own question to help other people with this problem. When I looked very closely there was one transaction that was incorrectly (auto?) labeled as "utility" which was income. If you have ONE such label, Quicken On-Line will label every transaction marked as utility as income regardless of the fact that every other transaction is clearly an expense. Once I corrected the one incorrect label, all utilities transactions disappeared from the trends tab. I hope this helps.

Thanks for your info. I was having the same problem with my dining expense showing as income and found a transaction as you described incorrectly labeled as dining that should have been 'transfer in'. Corrected that transaction and dining no longer show as income on the trends screen thanks very much.
