Same is happening to me. Payee shows up in Quickin as this:

DBT PURCHASE ON 09/01 @ 00:00.

ValleyNationalBank site has it listed like this:

DBT PURCHASE ON 09/01 @ 00:00 / PETCO 1864 63518641 VERONA NJ CARD NBR: -6191

DBT PURCHASE ON 09/01 @ 00:00 / SHOPRITE OF WEST C WEST CALDWELL NJ CARD NBR: -6191

DBT PURCHASE ON 08/29 @ 00:00 / BABIES R US #6539 TOTOWA NJ CARD NBR: -6191

I can't change any of them. They always revert back to the original name.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Rich

I am experiencing the same problem, with Coast Capital Savings. I think I can give you steps to reproduce:

Broken:
- Bring up the account register.
- Find a row that has not been previously edited since the automatic transaction refresh from the bank.
- Change the payee name but NOT the category from what Quicken auto-guessed.
- Reload the page in the browser (F5). Change was NOT saved successfully.

Works fine:
- Bring up the account register.
- Find a row that has not been previously edited since the automatic transaction refresh from the bank.
- Change the payee name AND the category from what Quicken auto-guessed.
- Reload the page in the browser (F5). Change WAS saved successfully.

Note that to reproduce, it seems to need to be a record that has not previously been edited since auto-importing from the bank site.

I am using Safari 4.0.3.

I did some more testing and found that the only way the Payee name would actually catch is if I also change the category AND press the enter key (on my keyboard). If I just rely on the mouse click, the changes do not save.

    Hope this helps!

I am also experiencing the same issue. However, mine is with Payee's in my HSBC accounts. I was able to update a couple of the payee's but most of them keep reverting back to PURCHASE MADE ON ___________ generic message. This is very very annoying. I am unable to accurately categorize and track my spending.
