I would also like to be able to view and print year to date and year end reports for income and expense categories.

    Hi,

We don't have reports designed for printing, but it is a request we've heard often, so we're considering it for the future.

I would hope that it's coming down the pike quickly. That was the first question my CEO husband had for me: Can you print me a report? Seems ridiculous that it's not an option. Do you have a target date?

This would be a very helpful feature. I am considering not using this program because I cannot print the reports. I hope it comes in the near future!!

Printing would be nice but I just want to see an itemized content list for a given category. Can this be done?

Really? No printing option? That seems like that would be a very standard thing. All other programs I've used has had that option.

I'm totally shocked. I just spent hours getting a year's worth of stuff in here to print out tax-related totals for the year. How hard could this possibly be? It never occurred to me to even check to see if this was a feature, because it never occurred to me that it wouldn't be. Why would anyone want to use the program without it? It seems like such a basic user requirement I can't even imagine offering a product without this. Without reporting, this product has no value whatsoever. My bank already offers almost all this functionality otherwise, esp now that it has images of all checks hotlinked to the check number. It is only marginally valuable to spend time categorizing expenses in Q for trends... I don't really care about trends. I care about reports... For taxes. Why else would I care? Thanks to all the time I just wasted I'm way behind on getting my son's financial aid application form filled out, which has a tight deadline, and I guess I have to add this all up manually? How stupid is this?

In fact, BTW the bank's presentation is MORE useful because it actually reads out the full line of what a charge is for, whereas the Quicken entry is cut off mid-word so I can never tell what it was and have to go to the bank interface to see anyhow. EG Miscellaneous Transaction Northern Colorado BMW in the bank interface is Miscellaneous Transaction Nor in Quicken. Stupid.

It doesn't appear that you can print reports on this program which is probably why this is a free program.

It is a free program, It isn't like they are getting anything out of the folks on here to make it a super priority to upgrade.

If you need to print reports right away, you can always download to excel and run reports that way. I think that is the most current only option.

Why don't trends actually show historical trends? I want to know how my spending has evolved over the last year or two. The little graph showing 6 months tells us nothing!

If some kind of basic reporting isn't added, I'll probably take my accounting elsewhere. Oh wait, quicken bought all their competition so that they don't have to worry about whether their service is good or not. Oh well...
