This post is about: Quicken Online
A big feature of Quicken Online is being able to enter check information that shows up in the "Upcoming Transactions", which gets moved to the "Cleared Transactions" when the check clears. Except it simply doesn't work - for me at least. None of the entered information (check number, payee or category) gets transferred over when the check clears. Quicken correctly matches the cleared check with the upcoming entry - because the upcoming entry disappears. But the entered information is not saved.

I went round and round with tech support for a month over this issue. I was never convinced they even grasped the issue - which is pretty simple. In any event, they eventually referred it to the "product development team" for a fix, and of course, I'm still waiting on that one. I'm not really expecting a fix - especially now that Intuit has effectively squashed their competition (Mint), they have no incentive to improve this product.

My bank is Bank of America. If anyone else uses Bank of America and doesn't have any problems, I'd love to hear it.

I have B of A and have this exact problem. And it seems recent, it worked fine for several months, but started "losing" my inputed data a couple of months ago. It is very annoying--and I understand how it could "glitch" everyonce in a while, but not why it was fine and now broken. I wonder of BofA changed some format and Quicken hasn't adjusted?

This bug requires me to either pull out my checkbook and REENTER what I have already entered off of my duplicate copy or go to BofA online and look at each check image to verify who it was written to. If I wanted to do that much work I could just write it down like I did years ago!

I've been trying the free online version of Quicken as a test before I bought it--but I refuse to pay for the full version if it has the same problem.

Any competing programs that get this right out there?
