Can all ATM cash withdrawals be categorized as transfers to my Cash Account by default?

I maintain a separate Cash Account. But on every ATM withdrawal, I have to re-categorize the transaction as a transfer, since the default is to place it in the Cash Expense category.

Thanks...

ATM Withdrawal: mark "XFR to Cash Account" as default category

Maybe my question has to do with "Memorized Payees" more than anything else.

When I look at the Memorized Payees list, it shows that each ATM withdrawal shows up as a seperate Payee, namely: "Bkofamerica ATM Withdrwl 09-29 #" where "09-29" is the date. The "#" might be followed with a digit in some cases.

Am I guessing right that I have to create a Renaming Rule to convert all new transactions into a "Bkofamerica ATM Withdrwl" payee, along with a "[Cash Account]" category? I probably have to change the category on all the old transactions and delete all the Memorized Payees too.

Any advice is appreciated....
