When I recategorize my transactions, the edits don't save. I have tried repeatedly with no luck. I have also tried changing the payee which also reverts when I refresh.

I think I found a fix:

1) Go under the Trends tab
2) Make your changes (only a few at first to see if it works)
3) Click on the Income or Savings buttons towards the top left and wait for it to refresh
4) Click the spending button to see if the changes saved

Let us know if this works for you!

I was excited to try this "fix" because I have been having the same problem. I only have a couple line items in one of my accounts that won't "keep" the changes made to the category while everything else works fine. However, the category that it is keeping is "transfer in" and thus I cannot see this line on any of the "trends" screens. frustrating!

Okay, while I was not able to use Gino's fix by changing stuff under "trends" I did use the idea of a workaround and found one...though its still a bug in my opinion.

While I cannot change the category to anything that will stick... i CAN make it into multiple categories. So I can take nearly all of it and make it into the category I want and then leave something for the original. Close enough for me.

I already thought of going back and deleting the category i didn't need anymore. One time the category was stuck as "multiple" as in..those actual characters not as in representing more than one. On another attempt it simply went back to not saving the change. Either way, I now have it 99% accurate. Must be a problem still though.

This seems like a great idea! I was able to split the transaction into multiple accounts, moving all but a penny into the correct category and leaving the last $0.01 in the category that Quicken is defaulting to. This change does get saved in my "transactions" view, but my charts in "trends" continue to display the whole amount under the incorrect default category.

now that is strange. This worked for me and in fact since then I've been able to completely get rid of the original category. So while it was originally "transfer in" and I changed it so that a large amount was "my kids" with the rest in the original, i have since been able to change the transfer in to "gifts" so now the multiple categories have the 2 correct ones and not anything wrong. I still can't change it back to only 1 category though. very odd!

It is showing up with my changes in my checking account as well as the trends screen.
