Can you add in the ability to edit transactions and running balances? I won't delete it yet but it isn't fully functional - its only good to look up transactions without logging into more than one website..I tried it on the desktop before and it was too slow to work with but on 3g it isn't bad.
Thank god it's here at last is all I can say.

Yes we need the ability to edit our transactions please. Our debit banks insist on only naming businesses as "POS 999 Heaven St, City" and we'd love the ability to name them if we know right away after we leave the place we bought it from.
I'm having a hard time finding security information about the iPhone app. I've downloaded it and checked it out, but I am concerned with how it passes information back and forth from the bank.
I realize you can set a security PIN before the app loads, and that is great, but what about data exchange? Does it take advantage of SSL?
Quicken Online gets the data from your financial institutions. QOL Mobile talks to QOL to get the transactional data. Quicken Online doesn't store credentials within the application so if someone were to access your iphone app or your qol account they couldn't see account #'s or transact.
Any chance we can get the "Real Balance" added to the app? I like seeing what my total is after all my entered transactions are, not just what the current online balance is.
So in order to have up-to-date transactional data on the iphone you have to log in to Quicken Online on your computer first, go to the Transactions tab, then click Refresh..... then open the iphone app and let it update from QOL? Geez, and I had such high hopes too.
Shall I assume that Intuit is protecting me by offering this workflow? Assume that to allow the iphone to connect to the bank would be insecure? Why can't QOL automatically retrieve latest transactions from the bank when the iphone app connects to it?
We need to know the financial institution you are working with so we can see what to fix. For the majority of financial institutions we automatically update nightly.
I have a credit union, amex, MBNA visa etc and they all update nightly. Some FI's have additional security, or in the case of Wells Fargo, don't alllow nightly aggregation of your account data.
As much as we would love to deliver a consistent experience for everyone, i does depend heavily on what banks/credit card companies you work with.
I am very disappointed with this application for the iPhone. What have been looking for is an application like Pocket Quicken that syncs with Quicken's PC Desktop application. I will be deleting this application from my iPhone. It just doesn't do the job!
Is any real application in the works for iPhone that syncs data with the PC Quicken product? I had Pocket Quicken that I used daily on the Palm OS!
It appears, from an outside perspective, that Intuit was just in a rush to get something in the App store, but the end result is an app that has zero real functionality for Quicken Users.
You must develop an app that syncs with the Desktop Software. How can you not include unreconciled items when reporting account balance?
How can you tell me I have $8,000 in my check book, when $7,000 of that is already written in outstanding checks?
If you want to get serious about developing an app that your customers will use and appreciate, contact me. I'll be happy to help.
Quicken Online (non-mobile) is exactly what I have been looking for. However, I am extremly dissapointed with the access to Quicken Online via I phone web and the app. I understand that transactions are downloaded daily into Quicken Online... However, I find it greatly inconvenient that you cannot manually refresh the accounts when you need to from either the app or the mobile web.
I have full access to internet and try to log in to the regular Quicken Online site and keep getting re-routed to the mobile site.
Anyone know how to fix this?
Quicken Techs... Listen to your consumers... add manual refresh or auto refresh from financial institute when App is lauched.
By the way - My financial institution is Presidents Choice Financial...does this download nightly?
I really don't like the iphone version of quicken. I use to have Pocket Quicken and loved it because I could sync it with my desktop platform and physically reconcile accounts. I feel this iphone version is dumbed down for people who just want to know how much cash they can spend. Please tell me if there is any version comparable to the old Pocket Quicken in the works for the iphone? Thank you so much.
I would also really like to see an iPhone app similar to the old pocket quicken.
I just want something to sync with the desktop client exactly and maybe have some useful graphing abilities.
Quicken Online and the iPhone combination sounds not too good. Intuit, I hear, is coming out with a new version of Quicken for Mac, in 2-2010. I might buy it to use with an iPhone I'm considering buying. BUT, I'd probably stick to my Windows version of Home & Business unless someone comes up with an iPhone Quicken ap that syncs with the new Mac version. I guess the guys who might be best at it are at Landware (Pocket Quicken). Do you guys at Intuit/Quicken ever share what you are hearing on these posts with Landware?
Perhaps I'm missing something, but I don't see my iphone being refreshed daily and in sync with my desktop browser-based online account info. You really need to add a 'Refresh' button on the iPhone app. Wants the point if I have to go online to update my account before I can see the updates on my iphone. Very disappointed. Hope to see improvements soon.
What dissapoints me, and will hopefully change soon is that the mint app (now owned by the same co.) updates directly on iPhone even pulls in the pending transactions (on swells Fargo account) yet the quicken app, which is much more full featured IMO does not. As I said hopefully soon since they should be working together we'll geylt a hybid app that has the best of both. Since the mint app only let's u look at your account, and not actually do anything like post new and upcoming transactions. Like quicken does.
