Downloading to safari: Lost categorization.

When I downloaded my Quicken On LIne data to a safari excel spreadsheet all my transactions showed up as "Uncategorized". I spent a lot of effort categorizing everything.
HOw do I download and save transaction categories?
I am downloading data as this seems the only way to share and export data from my Quicken On line account to other accounts. (WHy is this the case anyways? I know they are separate products but Intuit should make it as easy as possible to export data from a free product to a paid product .I will be waiting to upgrade when I can export the data and nt have to start all over again.)
