Why do alerts disappear?

I had alerts to pay my credit cards on a certain date. It's been a few days after that and the alerts have disappeared from my home view.

I never dismissed these alerts nor did they go through my checking account.

Quicken, please show all alerts as pending until we mark them as completed or turn them off. What is the sense in having alerts if they turn off after a few days?
