I have setup maybe 10 recurring payments which are showing in my Upcoming Transactions view. Today in Sept 3rd and it is going out as far as Nov 18. The problem though is that for the recurring transactions which are setup as something other than monthly it is only showing the very next one, say a biweekly payment on Sept 11th. It is not showing the next expected for Sept 25th. However for those that are monthly it is showing them for all the next several months. Is this a bug? A setting? An ID10T (user) error?
In the upcoming transaction section we show the next occurance of a scheduled upcoming transaction. So for items that are every 2 weeks you see the next one, but not all of the ones that occur in the current month. For items that are quarterly you see the next instance even if it's 3 months out. We are looking at how to improve this section and what customers would prefer. Would you rather see only the remaining items for the rest of the month? Leave it at the next instance but limit it to events in the next 30 days?
I would like to see all transactions for the dates selected. Otherwise it doesn't help me predict what I need to have in my account.
Yes, the fact that it only shows the next payment/paycheck makes it really difficult to budget.
Does the actual desktop version (non-online) version of Quicken also have this issue? Is there a way to change the view, as the above poster had asked so that you can see upcoming payments or paychecks that happen to occur more than once per month?
I get paid twice per month, but it only shows next check for 9/30 and not the one for 10/15. I have monthly transactions that will clear on 10/17 that ARE showed so it looks like I will overdraw, but in reality, I won't.
Is there a way to fix this with the online version? If not, will upgraded to Quicken for Mac 2010 in February fix this problem? I don't want to purchase the older version of Mac Quicken when the new version will come out so soon.

this is the reason why i joined this community because, i thought i was going insane not being able to see next months paycheck... but all the bills that come... shows me negative when i know its not...i put the paycheck on every 2 weeks, but it doesnt show it on down the list... very frustrating especially since we live paycheck to paycheck and i really need to know what im going to have left a paycheck from now til the next.......... is there now way to do this??
I would like to see each transaction that was going to happen. So if I'm looking at a 30 day view and something is weekly I'd like to see all 4 occurrences. I guess I'd like that view to be a predictor of cash flow. It would also be helpful if that view could go out 2 - 3 months.

Clearly the Intuit team doesn't monitor this forum, so I'll share how I'm working around this shortcoming...
Let's say it's bi-weekly pay you want to see.
Obviously, set up your biweekly pay exactly as you normally would, "My Paycheck" set for every two weeks.
Then, create a duplicate called "My Paycheck (Delete Me)" for the same amount, the same bi-weekly schedule, but starting two weeks later.
Now, once a month, when the first 'real' paycheck clears, you'll see both of these transactions scheduled for the same day. Every time that happens, select the "(Delete Me)" one and "Delete This One". That should make it automatically pop up in two weeks.
Yes, somewhat manual, but not that hard to deal with every couple of weeks. I don't work here; if you don't like this idea, don't complain to me... I don't care.
yeah, obviously they don't care or read these and probably they just don't give a crap. I too don't work here... I kinda did the same thing you did but instead I just put in the next few paychecks as one time deals and they show up like they should if the bi-weekly were working. This is a stupid glitch that I would think would be easy to fix?!
But, your idea was good... and this is how I did mine to solve the problem! :)

Having just transferred from money, I am a little confused with Quicken.
Money had a customized view which allowed for dates to begin and end. I usually asked for 10/1/09 to 6/1/10 to get a view of future items due. This allowed me to see a once a year payment ahead of when I needed to pay it. Thanks, I would like this.
I just started using Quicken Online. So far, so good, but I think you guys missed the boat on this one. It's impossible to evaluate cash flow without at least a months worth of upcoming transactions. Might make a nice user preference option as to how many months of upcoming transactions to show. If you have a chance, please respond to the thread and communicate current thinking on this topic.

I would like to see each transaction that was going to happen. So if I'm looking at a 30 day view and something is weekly I'd like to see all 4 occurrences. The Real Balance is nor really the real balance is it??
Is anyone from Quicken monitoring this or am I wasting keystrokes?
I think there have been good suggestions to have the reoccurring transactions show up as often (and with the proper dates) as required to fulfill the range set in the "show" drop down list.
So if the frequency is set for twice a month with a start day of the first of the month, and the range set to show the next 60 days... the transaction should show up four times... the 1st and 15th of month one and the 1st and 15th of month two. This is the mostlogical and intuitive behavior that has been proposed.
By the way.. as a fellow software support troll, i can sympathize with the work load you must be experiencing.. .but someone should respond to this thread... this is a fairly large flaw in an otherwise well designed product. just my $.02
Oh wait... the time frame isn;t dependent on the transaction history drop-down setting.I guess it should be dependant on what the Home tab > Stay on top of bills > View spending outlook time frame is set to... one or two pay periods.
