All,
I've put up a blog post giving some advice on getting upcoming transactions and bill reminders to match more effectively: http://www.quickencommunity.com/quickenOnlineBlog/Getting-Your-Upcoming-Transactions-to-Match1

Try out some of this advice and let us know if it increases the matching accuracy of the product.

Thanks,
Barron

Hi Barron,

I also am very interested in the tips. I can't seem to find the right search terms to get to your tips.

Thanks

I didn't see a post on getting upcoming transactions to match at this address. Is there a different link?

    Hi folks,

I'll find out what happened to Barron's link.

But in the meantime, here are the best ways to make sure an upcoming transaction will match the actual cleared transaction when it comes in:

    - Choose a Date the same or earlier than the date the actual transaction will clear.

    - Enter the correct Check # if it's a check.

    - If you're adding a new upcoming transaction, choose a Payee from the list that opens when you start typing.

    - Enter an Amount close to what you'll pay.

FYI, we're also thinking about ways to improve the matching, so stay tuned.

I'm having the same problem. The upcoming transaction has the same date, amount, and check number, but they aren't matching as they would in my desktop copy of Quicken.

I have had several account transfers fail to match. This is a serious problem because the transfer shows up as a debit twice -- once in the cleared transactions and again in the upcoming transactions. Before I figured out what was going on I made several unnecessary transfers to cover negative balances that weren't really negative.

I haven't found anything to help with this and still showing negative when I'm really not and it's telling me I'm way over my limit this month! Frustrating when it's expecting a $1200 charge to be "upcoming" yet it's already posted.

    Anyone heard any news?
