I'm new at this, but it looks like you're limited to setting goals on certain expense types. But it's also hard to say since I don't know what you mean by a real budget. I like a lot of this program, but it doesn't look like I can use it for what I want, so I might ditch the whole thing.

I'd like to be able to keep track of setting aside a certain amount (either percentage of income or specific dollar amount) each month for things that I might not actually buy each month. For example, each month set aside X amount for Christmas spending. Each month adds up the amount from the month(s) before, and then by the time I'm ready to buy gifts, I have what I need in my checking account without having to set up a CD or separate savings account. Does anybody else get what I'm saying? Any tips on how to do this with QuickenOnline would be much appreciated!
