Quicken Online
This post is about: Quicken Online
Features Mint.com has that Quicken doesn't:
- Rewrites the bank payee data to something I can instantly recognize
- Split transactions
- Writes "Transfer Out to xxx" instead of just the words "Payment" in the Payee field for transfers.
- Alert that the transfer out is matched to another transaction in another account (Not best solution, but it's a start).

Features Quicken has that Mint.com doesn't:
- Upcoming transactions (main reason I'm deleting my account with Mint.com)

Features I wish Quicken had:
- Real Bank Reconciliation (I'm not satisfied with the upcoming transaction matching features alone)
- Upcoming transactions which are Transfers Out to another account automatically post to that other account with a good non-confusing reference to it.
- Transfers Out are reconciled to the Transfer In on another account. Right now I have to manually look through all the accounts and make sure the matching transfers exist and are classed correctly because there is no reconciliation feature. Many a credit card payment has been classified as as something other than a transfer out in my checking account.
- A custom outlook feature on the homepage. I want to project how much money I have 3, 6 or 12 months from now so I can continue to pay extra on my credit cards. If I lived paycheck to paycheck I wouldn't need finance software.
- Reminders to pay a credit card on its due date. I'm sure there is a way Quicken can download the due date and post it on the front page.
- Subcategories
- Reports showing income against expenses. (Yes, I'm an accountant)
- Make paying down a credit card a goal feature!

Thanking you in advance for your consideration.

I'd have to agree 110% with everything identified by the accountant for the on-line version. I'm a SEBO for 35 years, 15 managed with MSMoney. There's allot I like about Quicken, inuitiveness and simplicity; and better smartphone (bbbold) integration than Money, but I desperatly miss split transactions, subcatagories and custom reports - this is how I do my business/personal taxes; it's been seemless for me until now. I will go with one of the Quicken products, but with these items missing, I'm concerned about taxes and being able to track in as detailed a fashion as I do now.

More for the wish list: Running Balances!

Fix this PayPal bug: Your downloading of PayPal is off. I just sent you an email and screenshot of the bug. Please download PayPal's "name/email" field instead of the "type" field so we can get the actual payee's name instead of "Debit Card Signature Purchase To". Mint.com does it, so can you.

I tried renaming it to the actual payee but it doesn't take. I cut and paste the actual payee, click into a different account and then return. Everything gets deleted and "Debit Card Signature Purchase To" returns. Quite frustrating!
