Paytrust Support Question (long)

Intuit owns Paytrust and I've been using them to pay my bills, on time, for the last 6 or 7 years. I love the service and don't want to change it. However, they are no longer supporting the SmartBalance Detail which would pull in my checking account info, mark those bills that have cleared and show me those not yet cleared with the balance on my account. This would allow me to know if I needed to put more money into my checking account to make sure I had enough to cover the outstanding bills... without incurring overdraft fees which used to happen before they added SmartBalance Detail.

I understand that this can all be done manually or by inputting the data into Quicken Online, however, that still makes it an extra step or two or three that I haven't had to do in many years.

My question is, will Quicken Online add Paytrust support? i.e. pull the billing info from PT to add to the QO register... or... will Paytrust add Quicken Online support? i.e., pull my register from QO to PT?

Either would be fine with me. I pay ALL my bills through Paytrust. But right now, with the loss of the SmartBalance Detail feature, I don't know if I'm ok or need to add more money into my account to cover what's outstanding. Heck, I don't even know what's still outstanding without doing a reconciliation. And I really don't want to do that on a weekly basis which I'd need to do.

Please, someone, say yes. In the meantime, any recommendations on how I can keep clear track? I used to check SmartBalance every couple of days, just to make sure. Now I'm afraid I'm going to start incurring overdraft fees again.

Michele

I would love to have this integration as well. However, Intuit is well know to put themselves above their customers needs. The funny thing is that they would make more money as most of the QuickenOnline users would likely signup for Paytrust.

I would love this to happen soon, but I am not holding my breath.

And I suppose the reverse would be true too. More people would be likely to go to Quicken Online if they could reconcile with Paytrust.

I'm wondering if any of the other Quicken program reconcile directly with Paytrust. If not, why not? You've got two powerful programs that are made for each other and made to help us dummies keep track of our expenses. As I've said in the past, I credit Paytrust, with helping me to rebuild my credit quickly by helping me to never miss a payment. EVER. It's amazing what that does for the credit companies. They love you. But I gotta have an easy way to reconcile....

    Is anyone at Quicken listening?

I can't begin to describe how disappointing it is to have learned that SmartBalance was no longer a supported feature. It's actually the only feature that kept me paying a monthly fee for the PayTrust service and the reason why I'm here on the Quicken site today. Do any of their products reconcile with PayTrust? Is PayTrust even required if you can d/l banking and CC information and then use "BillPay" to pay your bills?

I'm a long-time customer of Paytrust, own Quicken software, and use Quicken Online. I would also very much like to see Quicken Online and Paytrust integrate with each other and would be willing to pay a small monthly fee for the convenience.
