This post is about:
Quicken Online
Has anyone figured out a good way to see savings visually in Trends? I know I can create a category "My Savings".
Ideally, I'd like to see a "total picture". Currently, Spending, Income, and Savings are all broken down relative to that category...
For example, let's say I make $100/month and spend it accordingly:
$50 rent
$25 savings
$15 utilities
$10 groceries
Quicken will tell me I'm saving 25% of my income and it will then break-down my spending:
67% rent
20% utilities
13% groceries
Which works- RELATIVE to the spending category... however, the total picture would say:
50% rent
25% savings
15% utilities
10% groceries
I know there are ways to rig my cagetories so that I can see this- "My Savings" cagegory for example... but then I lose visibility to the savings portion because Quicken will no longer group the savings.
Thanks!
