I would strongly like to see quicken online able to sync with desktop Quicken. It would allow the ability to update transactions at the office or on the road which would then download and sync with desktop Quicken. It would also allow me to update transactions while on military deployments so that they would sync with the family version at home. It would also allow the categories developed in desktop Quicken to be uploaded to the online Quicken version.
Please provide this funcionality. It leaves a huge hole in Quicken's offerings. Neither Quicken Online or Mint.com can do this. Neither online service has anywhere near the functionality of the the desktop program and I've been using it for years. Quicken used to have a web service that sync'd with the desktop but not anymore. This is a huge gap in this age of connectivity and mobile use. It means that you can only use Quicken if you are sitting at your home computer. What's up with that? Landware used to make a program that sync'd your desktop computer to a windows-based PDA program. I could have all my Quicken data available on my PDA. It died (after 10 years) and now I have an iPhone. Now I'm amazed that there is no way to use Quickn on the road anymore.
I would love to have this option since I use both desktop and online versions. I tend to use the online version more and the desktop version is used more for reporting/planning elements. It would be great to have a 2 way sync.
This would be a great feature - being able to Sync with desktop Quicken or even Quickbooks IS A MUCH NEEDED FEATURE - This would make the package more useable - I can NOT think of any reason why anyone would NOT want to be able to SYNC the online with the desktop versions of Quicken and / or Quickbooks
I would like to see an web based online version of full quicken. It could then be accessed from any internet connected device. Intuit could charge a monthly subscription fee. I would suspect that a great deal of users do not update their desktop software to the latest version by offering the service over the web intuit would create a revenue stream. The service would include full desktop application and all the reports, check printing, planning, backups, etc. At a reasonable fee I suspect a great deal of users would sign up.
Please add desktop sync when integrating mint.com. My wife loves the full featured desktop version. I like to update my transactions in real time while on business trips.
