Wish that it would
a) Sync with your desktop Quicken Version
b) Split categories
c) iPhone category assignment
Don't need the iPhone as a 'status' reminder. Its ideal if one can update transactions as they are posted by categorizing them correctly, including splits of a bill into different categories.
Also the ability to sync with Desktop, or at minimum to download to the desktop, will allow keeping track of budget and transaction history. I have benefited from looking up a transaction as a reminder for when a particular activity/payment took place. Don't want to loose the 'archival' historical database I have on quicken by limiting it to only 90 days of history

I couldn't agree more... is anyone listening? A Quicken App for the iPhone that syncs with your desktop app would be invaluable. Budget tracking would be ideal, rollover budgeting would be a great help for all of us managing our finances. Please update this app! Thanks!
I could not agree more - I'm looking for a product that will let me enter transactions on an iphone, then sync with quicken for windows 2008 - anyone have any suggestions?

Martce hit it right on the head. I bought the home version thinking it could sink with my iPhone...sadly, the free online version has it but the folks that paid for a product got jipped.

Years ago, you used to be able to log into quicken.com and add transactions that would then be downloaded when you did an update. It would seem to make sense to have that same functionality/integration with quicken online. The way I see it, what would make most sense is to have quicken online sync the basics with your quicken desktop. If you change a downloaded transaction category in the desktop version, it would get updated online and vice versa.
I can see the online version having some limits such as only the last year of transactions, not as complicated of account types, limited reports - but still having the basics (latest checking/cc/investment transactions, balances, scheduled payments). Those basics would be visible online (including on mobile devices) and then the basics would always by sync'd with the desktop version and more detailed analysis, history, etc. would be available offline.
Doesn't that seem reasonable and headed in the right direction?

That is a very reasonable request and I'm shocked that it's not available. When you consider the old method of adding transaction on the web and having them sync'd back the desktop version - we have taken a step backwards in functionality from Quicken. I hope they are monitoring the forums because I am seeing lots of cries for some mobile app (web or device) to sync with the desktop version. They'd better pay attention or someone else will find a way (like Landware did by selling the Pocket Quicken program for PDAs) to get into their revenues.
