Here's a suggestion for the Quicken Online development team that would allow users to easily have a more complete financial picture of all their assets.
The Quicken for windows product allowed users to add asset accounts--such as a car, home, yacht, etc--and associate a value with it. You might change that value over time as the asset appreciated or depreciated, but having it including in your total financial picture easily gave users a path to see their true net worth.
Lacking this functionality today, a user can "see" their mortgage amount, but not the corresponding asset value (in this example, of their house). Thus, there's no easy, at a glance way to get to net worth.
Since there's no need to link to a financial institution but rather you'd just let the user create an asset and assign/change a value, this is likely an easy change, and a high impact one.

We are working on accounts not linked to a financial institution, so that would allow for this. We are starting with a Cash tracking account, but the functionality that is required for that is mostly the same as what is needed to solve the problem you outlined.
It's two months later, and I wanted to check in again on this topic.
Again, the issue is allowing users to set up assets and adjust their value...a home, car, boat, etc.....so as to be able to see this as part of their overall financial picture.

I have been patiently waiting for this feature too. Having it missing make the whole product seem incomplete.
Isn't it safe to assume that many people interested in the online version will have experience with the previous versions of quicken? One of the primary top-level features of quicken is that it automatically calculates your net worth. I'm hoping this is added to QOL, or it's hard to justify the price. Being able to manually enter asset values is necessary for this.
It seems like this should be so much easier than online accounts. The delay is frustrating.

In my opinion, the answer is "no". But I have no idea what percentage of people who tried the service were recent users of either Quicken for Windows (in USA or Canada) or Quicken for Macintosh (in USA or Canada). That is a very important piece of information for Intuit to have in order to make decisions about the Quicken Online service.

I would like to add assets like the current value of my home to my QOnline account as well so it will show my total Net Worth. Has any progress been made on adding this feature in the last year?

@Quicken Jim: where does this stand, its 9 months later... any chance of seeing it?

I agree. Knowing that MS Money is on it's way out and that is what I currently use, this feature would certainly help me decide what I alternatives I should consider.
